BHC offers multiplegrinding capabilities. Our cylindrical grinding machines allow us to grind ODsupto 8-tons in weight. We hold tolerances up to ± 0.0005” or better and RMS finish up to 16-Ra. We furnish pre/post plating machining or grinding thatincludes repair of engineering features, removal of service damages andsurface hardened coatings (i.e.carburize, carbide, nitride, plasma, metal spray, plating)etc.

Drilling Rig Main Shaft Coating
The project highlighted here exemplifies our ability to apply precision grinding and coating processes to large diameter shafts. This customer needed a phosphate coating applied to shafts with variable outside diameters of 8" to 24".
